    SCHEDULE



    a) PREELIMINARIES ONLINE AT ONE OR 2 VIDEOS SEPARATELY

    (video recording sent according to the guidelines )

    - free work in the participant's national language
    - any aria (opera or oratorio)


    COMPETITION FOR BEST 70 PARTICIPANTS OD PREELIMINARIES:



    b) Stage I - repertoire duration: up to 15 minutes

    For category I:
    - a piece by a Polish composer other than in Stage II
    - an opera aria from the world repertoire
    - any piece (a piece by a Norwegian composer is welcome) (not obligatory)
    The committee selects 2 works out of 3 submitted



    For categories II, III, IV and V:
    - a piece by a Polish composer other than in the second stage
    - an opera aria from the world repertoire
    - a piece by a Norwegian composer
    - free piece (not obligatory)
    The committee selects 3 works out of 4 submitted.



    c) Stage II - the duration of the repertoire up to 20 minutes:
    - an opera aria by a Slavic composer / a song by a composer for high school students Slavic
    - any operatic aria (other than in the previous stages)
    - free piece (not obligatory)
    The committee selects 2 out of 3 submitted works



    CATEGORIES:



    Category 1 A) a group for students of secondary schools singing classes who are not also students of music universities at the vocal faculty ( 16-25 years)- also for this year's diplomants

    Category 2 group for BACHELOR DEGREE students of vocal faculties 19-32 years of age - also for this year's diplomants

    Category 3 A) group for MASTER DEGREE students of vocal faculties 19-32 years of age - also for this year's diplomants B) for bachelor's degree graduates not studying at master's level, up to 33 years of age

    Category 4 A) for graduates of vocal studies from 24 years of age.

    Category 5 A) amateurs ( no age limits) and graduates of secondary music schools without more education ( older than 25 years old)

    It was no coincidence that the Competition was named after such an outstanding artist as Monika Swarowska - Walawska.Her openness both on stage and openness to pedagogical experiences had an amazing influence on the development of singing culture, among others in Krakow, with which the singer has connected her artistic career. In addition, our team has been singing artists for years, the first graduates of the class of Monika Swarowska-Walawska - Miranda Exner and Joanna Petryka - Wawrowska.

    It is impossible not to mention the patron of this Festival Professor Monika Swarowska-Walawska. Professor Swarowska-Walawska was a great artist sadly who left us in August this year, leaving behind an extremely important and valuable artistic legacy. In addition to being the principle soloist at Kraków opera she also performed all over Europe and North America. She was a prize winner at several international competitions including Voci Verdiane in Busseto and the Francisco Vinas competition in Bracelona. At home Professor Walawska gave guest performances at many of the important opera houses in Poland including Poznań, Łódź, and Wrocław. She made numerous recordings for Polish Radio and Television including collaboration with Polish Opera Television, conducted by Marek Tracz, in conjunction with the Stagione Teatro Italiana..





    There are no age limits or vocal training requirements for workshop participants. As every year, anyone who loves singing and would like to work on their voice under the watchful eye of our amazing teachers can take part in them. It is an offer for amateurs who are just starting their adventure with singing, or who simply love to sing and want to take part in full artistic experiences, as well as for more advanced people - such as students or graduates of music academies, for which an offer of vocal master classes is prepared.

    What makes the workshops amazing is that YOU can take advantage of them too.

    People who are aspiring and have an appropriate repertoire have a chance to present themselves solo or in vocal groups during festival concerts.

    WHO IS OUR EVENT FOR?

    The MASTERCLASS offer is tailored to people from different countries - the workshops will be conducted simultaneously in the language Polish and English. Moreover - the event will be open to participants with special needs - it is particularly important for us that people with disabilities as well as the elderly have the opportunity to participate in event, therefore we make every effort to ensure that the festival venues selected by us give this opportunity. The offer, through a plastically adapted repertoire to the individual needs of participants and the possibility of lessons master classes with the best vocal teachers from Poland and abroad, i.e. Norway, Italy or Germany - in a way Perfectly fits the needs of people who want to develop their vocal skills, both beginners and especially - students, or still looking for the right vocal path, but more advanced artists. The concerts are open to everyone, therefore we have included the youngest music lovers among our audiences whose concerts can often be an opportunity for the first encounters and delight in opera.
